Credentials and Experience
Martha is a caring and skilled professional who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her work. She is an accredited supervisor and a Chartered Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society. Martha holds full accreditation as both a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and an Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Practitioner with EMDR Europe. She has also completed training to become an EMDR consultant and is soon to be qualified as a consultant.
As the founder and co-Director of Mindspace Therapy-Studio, Martha focuses on helping clients with complex trauma and various other challenges. With almost two decades of experience as a clinician, she has worked with a wide range of clients. Her approach is integrative and relational, meaning she combines different therapeutic methods to meet the unique needs of each client.
Martha has extensive training in CBT and is a consultant in training for EMDR. She has also received training in other therapeutic approaches, such as Internal Family Systems, Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT), Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. Martha’s flexible approach allows her to adapt her methods to best support her clients.
Professional Roles
In addition to her clinical work, Martha is a freelance researcher and provides training and clinical supervision to individuals and groups. She has experience in general mental health care across NHS, private practice, and charity sectors, as well as in hospital settings. Martha has also served as an associate lecturer and supervisor for trainee CBT therapists at Buckinghamshire New University.
Currently, Martha practices as a clinician in private practice and works as a Chartered Psychologist in a High Secure Service. She has advanced from a Clinical Lead in CBT to a Clinical Specialist in her work with Time to Talk West Berkshire, a charity offering therapy services to young people aged 11 to 25.

Martha is dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth. Her doctoral research focused on growth and resilience following trauma, reflecting her passion for helping those affected by psychological trauma and loss. She actively contributes to research and uses the latest findings to improve the quality of her services. Martha has published several papers in international journals, written book chapters, and presented her work at conferences around the world.
