Dr Martha Ferrito is a Chartered Psychologist, EMDR Consultant, BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Supervisor, and Practice Director.
She brings almost two decades of clinical experience across private practice, NHS, forensic, hospital, academic and charitable settings. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed, relational and integrative practice, with particular interests in complex trauma, EMDR, therapist development, reflective practice, forensic work and professional resilience.
As Practice Director, Martha provides specialist clinical supervision, consultation and training for therapists, mental health professionals, teams and organisations. Her approach combines clinical depth with warmth, curiosity and a strong commitment to ethical, reflective practice.
Clinical and Supervisory Experience
Martha has extensive experience working with trauma, complex clinical presentations, risk, relational difficulties and the impact of adverse life events. Her clinical background includes work across NHS, private practice, charity and high-secure forensic settings.
She is the founder and co-director of Mindspace Therapy Studio and has supported clients and professionals with a wide range of psychological difficulties. Her clinical approach is integrative and relational, drawing on CBT, EMDR, attachment theory, parts-informed practice, Mentalisation-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, psychodynamic thinking and third-wave approaches.
In her supervision and training work, Martha supports therapists to develop confidence, clinical clarity and reflective capacity, particularly when working with trauma, complexity and emotionally demanding material.

Alongside her clinical practice, Martha provides individual and group supervision, EMDR consultation, CBT supervision, reflective practice and professional training.
She has previously worked as an associate lecturer and supervisor for trainee CBT therapists at Buckinghamshire New University. She also has experience providing teaching, consultation and supervision across professional and organisational settings.
Martha currently works in private practice and also holds a role as a Chartered Psychologist within a High Secure Service. This forensic experience informs her specialist interest in trauma, risk, shame, moral injury, resilience and complex clinical work.

Martha holds a PhD in Psychology. Her doctoral research focused on growth and resilience following trauma, reflecting her wider interest in the psychological impact of trauma, loss, adversity and personal change.
